I intend to post the thoughts that occur to me. The normal everday thoughts such as "the weather is nice", the nice ones about the things I do which make me happy and the darker ones that I don't tell my friends in real life because I don't feel I can.
Why I started this

I've used Joeuser for a while, looking at the stuff thats posted but never really taking part. Well tonight I decided all that is going to change, I'm going to start my own blog! I'm going to use it as an on-line diary and record my random thoughts, the things I'm doing and what have you. So here goes:

Just got the political machine from stardock, its a US election simulator and my first thoughts are that its quite good. Its got the more factor - I want to stay up past my bed-time and play! The only thing I would say it needs is more feedback on how what you are doing is affecting your chances and more documentation - I'm not even sure what half of the stuff I try does! Also sometimes I seem to lose for no apparent reason but it is still a beta and very, very addictive (heres a link to the site if you want to know more www.politicalmachine.com)

I saw troy the other day and I was a bit let down. I think it was because I wanted to see a film based on Homer's illiad with some decent historical research done. That was probably my biggest sticking point - the historical research or lack of, the period dress wasn't right, the equipment was wrong - they were all dressed like hoplites from a period four hundred years later. It was however a good action flick, the fight scenes were awesome and there were some very good battles in there. The fight between Hector and Achilles was brilliant and I think I will probably buy the film on DVD just for that. So on balance - a good action film but it shouldn't have been called Troy.

Bought two new albums today, one by the Strokes and one by Blink182. Both were awesome. Blink 182 hasn't left my CD since, a real comeback from their second album, most peeps I talk to thought they were a gonner but they seem to have matured as a band and alot of the songs are thoughtful rock, not like their second album - which like like playschool "naughty kids saying things they're not supposed to". Definitely recomend as a BUY. Same with the strokes, bit of a case of more of the same however but I don't mind cause I think their guitar riffs and their "sound" are sheer class, something like JJ72 should have become.

Well thats it for my first post, going to apply for a couple of jobs and get to bed now I think, it almost two in the morning and I have to be up at six
